2022 LeFore Estate Syrah

LeFore was planted in the late 1990’s - though still young in the world of wine, this is our oldest estate vineyard located in the cobblestones of Walla Walla. I love the range of aromas in this wine going from fresh plum to citrus, teriyaki sauce, green olive and hints of iron. The wine is 20% whole cluster fermented and that seems to have added some tannin and mouthfeel as the wine is silky and has an intense core of weight on the mid palate with beautiful acidity to frame it all. Partially aged in 500L French oak puncheons, the wine is constantly evolving in the glass. Drink now through 2039.
